Successes:
  • Completed user feedback planning brief

    • Expanded on how our two rounds of feedback will work and how they will be different from one another

    • Created our methodology and timeline to make sure we complete all of the feedback as soon as possible

    • Developed a plan for recruitment and design distribution

  • Completed initial design concepts/wireframes/flows

    • We did the “How Might We...” activity based off the pain points we uncovered in our journey map

    • This led us to coming up with an idea for an app that tracks points and allows employees to earn them

      • We did a round of “Crazy 6’s” to come up with our initial sketch of how this app would be laid out

        • We talked about our ideas as a team and developed a first sketch of our app as a whole

  • Started initial prototype

    • Created a Figma page which we ill create ourr initial wireframe in the coming days

  • Met with the Zebra team which gave us a lot of feedback and pushed us on our initial design

    • They like the idea of group points and thought this was a unique concept

    • They liked the profile page of our design a lot and want us to expand on that in the future

Failures:
  • Unable to finish deliverables ahead of time

    • We finished our presentation slides for the weekly Zebra meeting later than we would have liked to

Difficulties:
  • Establishing a structure for initial design concepts

    • We all had different ideas for how our app pages could be structured and we had to agree on the best way to format them

    • Thankfully, we were able to talk these through as a team and reach a consensus

  • Transitioning back into the school mindset after coming back from spring break

    • With significant deliverables due in the coming days and weeks, we have much work to do and need to remain diligent

Goals for Next Week:
  • Complete initial prototype on Figma

    • Make initial design interactive for potential users

    • Use Zerba’s feedback and narrow our focus on the profile page and expand on group points

    • Test prototype ourselves before distributing it to users

  • Start first round of user feedback

    • Contact participants whom we interviewed during research phase

    • Contact other potential users in retail spaces who could give us additional feedback
